Three generations, same values

The story begins in 1978. Ron Barrington founded Northeastern Pavers, Inc. with his sons Shane and Chuck. They left Lubbock to chase work across northeastern Oklahoma and into Arkansas—paving city streets, parking lots, and private drives. The days were long. The future was uncertain. God provided.

In 1984, the family came home to Texas and settled in Granbury. What started as a father-and-sons paving crew became a way of life—work, family, and faith bound together in the same place.

Ron retired in 1995. By then the company had grown to 25 employees. Shane took the helm and spent the next decade building NEP through seal-coat and hot-mix contracts for TxDOT, working from Waco to Lubbock to Longview and everywhere in between. His four sons spent their summers on the road crew and learned the business from the ground up.

In 2018, after forty years of building the company, Shane retired. NEP had grown to 100 employees, and his sons were well-equipped to handle the load.

Today, the third generation—Marc, Cody, and Casey—leads Northeastern Pavers. The company has grown to more than 150 employees and produces award-winning projects. The work is larger. The tools are better. The values are the same.
